Caught that fish I lost last week or his brother, definitely a big one for this lake. Daughter and I went out on island lake again. We trolled pink wedding rings and did awesome! The eagles were flying right over us and snatching fish just a few feet away. We caught trout all day long it was so much fun. We each caught a couple bass also, at one point we were both fighting fish at the same time. The wind was awful so we used it to our advantage. We would head up wind and once we got as far as possible cut the motor and let mother nature take us back across the lake. Worked like a charm. Again the entire lake was productive but we definitely have done better on the south side of the lake. There is a cove on the southwest and right in the middle of that cove as you troll away towards the island you can't help but catch something. Two really nice guys were coming off the lake at the same time as we were and they were trolling flies with fly poles and it was working for them. Not to many places will you stand around with complete strangers and shoot the breeze for twenty minutes but when your catching fish the people at the launch are more thank willing to.
