I did something today I have not done in a long time, I fished off the dock instead of taking the boat out. I have noticed that the trout have been hitting anything green so since I was actually targeting trout instead of Kokanee today I used a worm with a green gulp maggot to tip it. I was also using a slip bobber and had it set to 6 feet. I was using mike's glow shrimp lunker lotion. With this set up I had my first fish no joke as soon as the bobber hit the water! I soon after had to more all probably within 10 minutes. It took about 1.5 hours to get the limit of 5. I do not usually fish with a bobber so I am not used to setting the hook. Lost 5 got 5, not bad for 1.5 hours. Fishing was fun and fast which is why I gave it a 5, also the weather was great today. I have a feeling with the way the Koke bite is going I will be fishing for a lot more trout this year. About 82,000 trout put into American this year, it almost is too easy.
