Offutt Lake Resort as usual provided a solid opportunity to relax and enjoy a day on the
lake. The Ladies who run the resort were friendly and helpful as usual.

Saturday we arrived at the resort around 1pm. Fish were biting and a few large trout were
taken. Brad my son's sidekick hooked a nice fat brood stocker. We ended up catching
3 fish each and Erik my son got skunked. The Eagles had better luck than Erik.

Sunday we arrived at the lake around 9am. It was a cold day with a lot of the small bugs flying
everywhere. Fishing was a little slow due to the change in weather. I ended up catching
2 small stockers and lost 2 other next to the dock. The boys Erik and Brad got skunked.

Poor Erik so far this year he has been skunked on all our trips. Even the special soap
he washed his hands with did not work. Oh well Erik has many more days to try and catch
that 1st fish of the year. I guess he needs to buy some new power bait.
