Another great day on Island Lake. If ain't broke don't fix it. Went out with my brother this time and we had a blast. We did the same thing as last time and would let the wind drift us across the lake. Lots of boats out and some were doing the exact same thing. We caught a ton of fish and had a great time, this was stocked on 06-02-2012 with some larger fish about a pound and a half and boy were they hungry. It was a blast reeling these in. Oddly I was there on 06-02-2012 and remember the Trout Lodge truck sitting at the launch. We were using pink wedding rings, I had a copper spoon and my brother had a silver spoon, go with the copper it has been much better so far this year. Only rainbows this time, some bass were biting last time. Again the lake was productive all over, I caught one in the NW corner right in front of some people playing on their dock, it is the one in the picture. Caught it right when I told my brother this is the worst part of the lake. Can't wait to get out next weekend, probably going to go somewhere different just for a change of scenery.
