Decided to go to St. Clair today. The stocking reports were really good plus they just put in 365 large fish. It didn't take long at all before we were catching fish. My first one had to be at least three pounds, it was really ugly though. It is the one in the pic. We trolled from the old boat launch all the way around going down every finger and around every lake it was a blast. We caught fish everywhere, the large part of the lake seemed to be the least productive plus the weather got a little worse. This lake is a lot of fun because of its shape and is really deep in some spots. I like how you can start at the old launch and end up at the new launch. A lot of people were fishing at the launch and people were catching fish while boats were coming in and out. (This lake had use to have a really fun rope swing made from a fire hose when I was a kid and we would swing on it all day, a smaller version is now in its place and I can't imagine you get nearly as high or far.) I would think it is really good for LMB, I've never caught one there but has a lot of the right habitats for them.
