Started fishing around 3:30 and my main focus while going out there was to land a big pig (bass). Started fishing the docks with a sinko. Got to the dock where I caught this fish and casted onto the dock and lightly pulled the sinko into the water and let it sink. With in seconds my line tightened and I leaned forward and ripped back and set the hook. I knew I had a big fish but I didn't think it would be this big. When it came toward the surface and I saw its mouth I knew I had a pig. The fight was amazing and getting it onto the boat and in my possession was a rush. This is why I fish the big ones are out there you just have to be smarter than them.

St. Claire does have some hawgs. Unfortunately, hooking up with one can be tough. Though I catch alot of bass there, its been awhile since I've caught a four lber or better. I've personally caught an 8-7 there, and a friend caught an 8-3 there the previous year. Three or four years ago there was a picture in the Tacoma Tribune of a man holding a 10-3 caught there. I was fishing St. Claire the same day as you, but was off the lake by 2:30. Sure alot of people at the launch when I loaded up. By the way, what was the weight of your bass?
