It was overcast to partly sunning. I caught many 4 to 10 inch
Largemouth Bass. They were hitting rooster tails and rapalas.
While fishing the lily pads I caught 2 SMALL MOUTH BASS!!! about
4 to 5 inches. (I have fished Roosevelt, Banks, and Whatcom Lakes-
so I know what a SMB looks like.) Anyway, later that day I was
fishing along the road when I hooked into a 2.6 lb. SMALL MOUTH.
What a fight it leaped 6 ft. out of the water, very healthy fish.
About 2 hours later I hooked an 8 inch LMB by a tree, a 3.5-
4.5 lb. LMB was trying real hard to steal the lure from its
mouth. She was not successful! (heart attack).
About 3 summers ago my son caught a 10 inch small mouth.
Was this lake stocked by the park or are they illegal?
Looks like there starting to take hold.
