got off work and decided i still had all my gear from the weekend and stopped at green lake (first time in a couple years). i was fishing by the stadium. i threw a spinner bait on for about an hour without any luck searching for some bass. i decided i would throw some power eggs before i headed home since a dock opened up. about 5 minutes of my pole in the water, it got slammed by a hard hitting 11"-12". next thing you know i have two people who were bank fishing now fishing right on me on the dock. about 10 minutes later i get another strong take down. i short fight, and me needing to tighten my drag i ended up with a 19" Trip. after the photo op, i give the fish to the kid fishing next to me. along with my complete set up so he is not using his dads salmon gear for the little rainbows.

i was there for a hour and a half and had two fish in about 20 minutes once i switched over, it was a great day and i cant wait to go back..

the fish looks small in the picture only because i am 6'8".
