I did some fishing at the dam fishing area, off of Highway 12. It was sunny, with no wind. The fishing calendar rated it a best day. I got there at 5:40 in the afternoon. It was crowded, but found a spot down by the water's edge. I caught five silvers (land-locked Coho), in about 2 hours. They are all about 13 inches long or so. They were biting consistently for me. I was trying just shrimp or worms for bait, about 6 feet down. They were biting on both, about the same.

I took some photos of the area, after the crowd had cleared out. I was hoping to catch a photo of one of the silvers jumping, but no luck.

I was there last Friday and I am thinking about going this Friday too. We were told to fish 2' to 5' under our bobber and we caught a few and had lots of hit. We caught and let go a lot of little ones too. But the guys that were using slip bobber and were fishing 15' to 20' under their bobber were getting the bigger ones and limiting out. So I got some slip bobbers today and I think my son and I will be down there early Friday morning.

I have heard that also, going down 15 to 20 feet. I just find it easier to set the hook if it is about 5 to 6 feet down. You see some bigger ones jumping and swimming in schools. I'm not real sure it makes a big difference. I was finding that if it was closer to the bank the small ones were going after the bait. Further out, say 25 feet, at least, I was getting the bigger 13 inch size anyway ones. Whatever works the best. Shoot me a message if you get a chance on how it worked. Good Luck!
