Decided to go to Isabella last week and finally am able to post about it. Trolled wedding rings with a worm on the end all over the lake. Plenty of fish were jumping which would make me think that something floating on the top would have worked really well. The only reason I'm giving this four stars is because of the large carp I caught. Boy was it ugly and covered in leeches. I didn't even know this lake had these, it isn't noted in the information section of this site. I'm assuming it is an invasive species, should I have killed it? I rarely keep any fish so my tendency is just to throw em back once I get a picture.

Also caught a smaller trout that day, it really didn't look like a rainbow. No spots on top and no pink on the side, makes me think it was a silver trout but again I didn't think they were in this lake. I've posted a picture for any feedback.

The picture of the trout isn't real clear when blown up to max size. But jaw looks to extend past the eye of the fish. It so, the cutthroat is the only trout to have this characteristic. Most times would also have orange slash on the under side of the jaw. Leech infestation! That reminds me of a older movie where 4 teen's go on a adventure to "see the dead body". Along the trip they swim in a lake and end up with leeches all over each of them, gross!

Check out the picture included with the Badger Lake report. That fish has a bunch of color, and you indicated your fish did not. So instead, look at where the jaw extends too! Did your fish Resemble the jaw in that picture?

appears to be a cuthroat. gotta watch the movie motoboat mentions tonight.
