The "target" was bass or anything that bites, actually. "Multispecies might be a good addition to the pull down menu. Went to both Goose lakes and was pretty much skunked again. 4th time this year. Upper has planter trout (mmmm... planters out of warm water...). Nobody I talked to had done much good either. Oh, I caught dozens of fish , somewhere around a hundred, but all about 3-4 inches. Long road to visit 2 lakes connected in the middle. Left there to go to Lind Coulee. Under color, tried them all pretty much. Forgot my waders in the transfer from big boat to pontoon. Water was almost hot, over 80 in one bay.
A couple of people have asked how I outfit my pontoon, so lacking fish worthy of a shot, I attached a pic.

I agree multi species would be a great addition to the drop down menu ,if you fish for anything that bites such as myself. :)

Good suggestion, I like the idea, I also go for whatever that bites, just makes it so worthwhile, surprise!! From bluegills, perch, bass, to squawfish, I love to see what's out there. I think you need more equipment!! :-)

I usually take more, but with the single pontoon, I decided to go light!

This doesn't sound like the Goose Lakes are too promising for spiny rays. Not good. Did you think these were stunted fish, or juvenile fish?

Juvies, but I suspect this lake has been overfished or even poached. I saw 2 carcasses in the water, filleted out, of bass around 19", and some unidentifiable ones deeper. Dunno. Used to be a good lake, but I haven't hit it right this year.
