First adventure out to Horseshoe, we started up there about 3pm when the massive storm ran through. Our moods were low but we were headin up there anyway.
Got into the water at 4pm. Headed towards the right off the launch throwin' spinner baits. About the 4th cast i landed this 15" LM. After that the storm stopped and there was nothin' but blue skies and now one other boat.
We traveled past the water fall into the squeeze towards the other lake. On our way my GF caught 1 small Perch and 1 small Crappie on crankbait. We spent about an 1 1/2 in the other lake and had no luck with anything what so ever. Spent sunset fishing the pads around the mouth of the falls and across from it, landing two more 15" LM along with some smaller ones.
I recently purchased a light to see if we could bring some Kokanee up from the depths. We set up near the mouth of the stream that runs into the lake, sat around for an hour or so jiggin' (first time i've attempted this) no luck.
Needless to say all fish were released.
All said and done it was a real nice trip.
