Hello friends. Well Saturday morning Jigmiester and I headed to Potholes to try to catch some nice bluegill. We caught instead several small perch. We used every lure that we make and anything else in the tackle box! The water was really stained and we found out the reservoir is now being drawn down. There wasn't a lot of fishing success for anyone. We hit a few other places on the way home but nothing big enough to talk about. All in all though it was still a great day! Any time Jiggy and I fish together we have a good time. What else matters?

On Sunday I went up to Rimrock to "teach" a couple friends how to fish for silvers. We caught a lot of fish but lots of them were on the small side. They had never used the tactics I use before but they were quick learners. So quick that less than 5 minutes into our first troll we had a fish in the boat! We had a perfect drift troll for about 3 hours then the wind really picked up and we decided to call it a day. We brought home lots of fish that will look great on the barbecue!

Tight lines brothers and sisters and take a kid when you can!

When I was there, they were schooling so tight, it was a miracle I found 'em. My estimate as to the area I caught them in is about 4'x4'x6', so I get why it was missable. In drawdown conditions I usually head for the dunes or Crab Creek. Glad you had fun.

Thanks bro. It would explain the depth difference and why they may not have been schooled up. It was worth the trip though. I could have rated it a 3 or 3.5 because we did catch a lot of fish. Thanks again! Look forward to getting out with you and Jiggy as soon as the opportunity presents itself!
