Got to Waitts about 7am and fished until noon. Trout were not hitting like they normally do as I trolled out to one of my favorite Perch fishing holes but I did manage to catch 3 browns that had the deepest bellies of any I have seen all year. I had to troll deeper than normal and kept 2 out of the 3 because they looked D.O.A. as they came to the side of the boat. The perch, on the other hand, are full of fight and in a word, suicidal, if you can find them. Had to hunt a bit, but found them in 15 to 20 foot of water. The Perch are typically ranging from 7 to 10 inches with the average an honest 8 inches. They were literally swallowing my plastic jigs which I like to use because I will normally only lip-hook them and can release those I do not want to keep with no harm. Anyway be mindful, if you have a small boat, of the water skiers. Larger boats should have no problems out there.
