Went to the ship canal west of Fremont bridge. Meet up with Gort. Throwing the usual soft crays and perch minnow rapala. Hit the spots we normaly catchem. Nothing all morning. decided to try the other side. Not even a nibble. I got a snag, went to give a quick jerk, and SNAP goes my ultra light rod. I've hade it 10-12 years I guess it was gona happen sooner or later. We got skunked. So we swung by my place I grabed the 8 foot beast and of to green lake. We set up shop on one of the no swiming dock. Thot I might try for some trout. First ones there. Along came a large group and they decided they were just gona cast right on top of us. They wernt very considerate. Didnt say a word to us, just statred casting right on top of us I mean they were sholder to sholder with us. After a great annoience we moved on. Went to one of my "garunteed" rock bass spots. And dang it we started at 7 fished till noon and absolutly NOTHING! This is the first time I have got skunked, and I dont like it! Oh we ran into two cray traps on the canal. Bettin they belong to Hortus. I might sugest using some black line that orange stands out, I know them homless if they see'em theyll takem. We let them be

That was pretty discouraging, but it was still a fun time. Next time I'm throwing an extra rod in the trunk!
