8/28/2012 5:14:00 PMThat is a hair raising experience, that bodes a big sigh of relief when back on dry land. Spent more that a hand full of days on Puget Sound in a 12ft boat, with waves like that. I discovered it was better to sit on the bottom of the boat, instead of the boat seat. Lowered the center of gravity and it was less violent for me. Made the boat way more stable. But, hard to net a fish solo from that position. Got er done though. Fishing was good in the rough water! So, I risked it. Looking back, I was just a teenager not giving in to a windy, winter day off from work. As foolish as that was, when looking back on it. I sure did learn how sea worthy a small for Puget Sound, 12 footer could be.
