I had to work today so I hit up my local kokanee lake. I was there 7-9am and left with my limit two at 13 inches and the others 9-11. There was only a slight breeze at the lake with partly cloudy skies.
I started out with Dick Nite Pink Splatter dodger and Wannafish A Lure’s Pink Splatter Squiddy Thing tricked out with corn and maggots. I had a lot of bites. Then it would die off. After the sun was shining for a prolonged time and I didn’t have any bites I switched out to the Dick Nite Copper Hot Orange Tractor Tread Dodger followed by Wannafish A Lure Gilded Lilly variant. That is what caught my last 2 fish. The 13 inchers. My fish came in 60-90 feet of water with the wire down to 35-45 feet.

We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.

Toni, you are going to have to get a bumper sticker that says "Kokanee Fear Me!". Again, very nice catching!!

Thank you Lou...I think I like that idea. Larryw I do not guide. In fact, this year, even if I were to show someone at American about kokanee I could not guarantee kokanee. One thing I do is, when I get a kokanee to the boat, I stay in that area trolling.
