Headed out to Roesiger Saturday morning. Arrived just before sunrise and was the only one in the lot, nice... Water was like glass and pretty clear so I started with a craw pattern shallow crankbait which produced two LMB in the first 5 minutes. The one in the pic was just over 1lb. and pretty healthy looking. Stuck with a crankbait most of the day with some variation in color/presentation. The rainbow hammered the crankbait and put up a real good fight. Missed a couple more hookups later in the morning. One miss was when my line just barely got hung up on the corner of a dock and while I was trying to flip the line off the strike came. I didn't get a good hookset and lost it about half way in. Felt like a decent fish, maybe a little bigger then the one earlier. A pause/twitch seemed to be more productive than a steady retrieve today.
Good day on the lake overall. No waterskiers either...
