My wife Sherry and I made it out to Badger by 6am this morning. She hooked a 12" rainbow with-in 3 minutes out fom the launch. We fished until 2:30pm with both of us catching our limit of rainbow trout. Sherry caught the last of the day and the biggest at 15 inches. Our average size today was 12 inches. Used nightcrawlers with a green power egg and a very slow deep troll. To top it off a floatplane landed and took off right next to us...AWESOME!!!

Dave, if you post your videos to YouTube you can always include the embed code in your fishing reports to add the video. Nice job! I can't remember the last time I actually came home with a limit of trout. I really need to get back in the game.

I know im a newb...but......I have harvested 45 rainbow this season from Clear Lake & Badger Lake.....for what its worth....this is where and how.

SUMMER
nightfishing 9pm-3am ...30 feet of water....nightcrawler with one piece yellow gulp.......submersible 12v light......stayed stationary the whole night >important<.....drank many cheap beers

FALL
morningfishing 6am-10am......30 feet of water.....super slow troll......nightcrawler with one green power egg.....stayed parallel to bank
morningfishing 10am-12noon.......deepest part of lake ......super slow zig-zag troll......same baits

This will kill it at both Badger and Clear for rainbow at least.......by the way this website is awesome!

Thanks for the tips Dave. I take my kids out to Clear and/or Williams when I need a guaranteed fish day. As well I've had pretty good success at Badger too over the years with some great stories to go with them. After I get Deer all figured out I was thinking of Williams and Badger as my next targets.

I just picked up a Scotty 1101 Electric Downrigger this month and I'm getting used to it. My first trip out to Deer it was the only rod that actually caught anything! It's nice to be able to target the fish directly at their depth and then hit a button and put the downrigger out of your mind until you send it down again. It's much easier than divers and weights. When we target the Macks on lake Chelan it would be impossible to get to the big boys without one. As well, on Omak we slayed them all day long, and it was the downrigger poles most of the time.
