Me and buddy started fishing at about 1:30 we were casting some crank bait into the beach and around docks. We were targeting largemouth. After fishing for about 2-3 hours we had caught and released a 14 inch rainbow and a 16-17 inch cutthroat.

Same thing happened to me at Flowing Lake a couple weeks ago.
Do you think the trout have moved into shallower water since the water has cooled off or because the bass have moved deeper?

Both. The other week I caught 3 bass deep, 2 rainbows deep, and the one shallow fish was a rainbow on a crankbait.

I'm not catching the trout out deep but it's weird because the other day I went out I caught a bass up in the Reid's.
