Had an itch to fish this morning and figured I would Hit Medical One last time before it closes for season. Started at the boat launch side fishing from shore off the bank, I was disappointed to find chunks of powerbait(selective gear Lake), balled up fishing line that looked to be about 20 lb test, and all other kinds of random Garbage on shore. That being said My personal best day fishing at medical, caught about a 16-18 inch rainbow my 1st cast! and the bite was on and frankly didn't really even slow down. Fish after fish Using the same setup and continuing to fish in the same spot.I fished for about two and a half hours and ended up landing 6 NICE trout 4 rainbows and 2 browns, also losing about 4 or 5 fish because of barb-less hooks. Cast and retrieve seamed to be the key today, using my favorite spoon also payed off. I ended up losing A beautiful Rainbow on a jump about 15 feet from shore :(, also the biggest of all the fish i had on today, easily in the 20"+ range. All and all The best day i have ever had Lure fishing from shore at medical.

Great day for sure, and yes, too bad about idiots trashing the place and/or not following the rules,...

I let them go. I ate a rainbow out of there one time and it wasn't that good. But I don't usually eat trout out of lakes. Im sure if you smoked it, it would be good. But I would rather let it go to catch another day.
