Finally had a chance to get out, was going to try to find Stansjoy on the NE part of the lake, but saw a familiar figure on the 65th St dock. Saw my friend James so I parked and fished with him. Got my lines out by 1100, still my usual set-up, powereggs & powerbait, can't commit to buying worms because I won't be out enough. James was using worms, powereggs & marshmallows. He got a hit about 30 min, brought the fish towards the dock, then it self released, OK, got away!! Winds were light, some sprinkles, but nothing to make us leave, but still pretty cold. About 1 hour later, another bite for James, this 1 fought good, thought he had a brown on, or a trip. Turned out to be a 14" rainbow, great fight, and fat. At about 1400 I was packing up, nothing for my time spent, but good conversation, James gets another hit, another 14" bow, just as fat and fought just as hard. All fish were just tapping/nibbling on bait. Just like my previous experience, so subtle, nothing substantial. Just good to get out,...
