I wanted to take a stab at getting a big fish to freeze for the Puyallup Show so I asked good buddy Al Brooks to come out with me. We got out at the crack of 11:00AM. We trolled a Mack's Cha Cha Squidder on one rod and an Ace Hi Fly on the other. I started at 250' and worked my way deeper. We caught one 3 pound eater fish and had one other smaller fish pull off in the half hour it took to get out to the 325' bench. Al hooked the one we came for right there. After about a 10 minute battle I got to net the fish. It weighed right at 10 pounds. Not a giant, but a nice representative big fish from our deep water late winter fishery on Lake Chelan. We had the boat back on the trailer by one and had everything cleaned and put away to see the end of the first half of the first playoff game. See you in Puyallup!

Wow what a HAWG! Never been fishing for Mackinaw. Do they fight like a salmon or sit on the bottom?

They tend to fight deep. Big fish will take long deep runs. You don't get a lot of fight out of smaller fish at these depths.
