Got on the lake at first light hoping this warming trend would make the fish organize a little and BINGO!!! seen fish rolling by the airator so began trolling circles around that area. started marking fish at 10-15. Set one pole @10 with a pink splatter and a rocky mountain pink hoochie, other pole @20 with a clown dodger and a pink a blue beaded smile balde, didnt have that pole down 30 seconds and i noticed a fish doing flips behind the boat "oh S*** THATS MY POLE!!!" fish was long gone. Worked south from the around the point and boated a little 11" koke, sent it back to get a little bigger. then a long dead streak. bite picked up around noon again for on more on/off and a 7" koke. Then things got a little perchy. packed it in at 2pm with 2 kokes to the boat, 6 perch, and two more lost fish. Dick nite dodgers and spinners were the ticket today with gulp maggots in pink. trolling speed was 1.2-1.7. depths were 10-25'. Now its time to do a little work on the boat before the season really heats up

Thanks for the report, this fair weather want to be a fishermen is very anxious to get the boat back out on his home lake, (Lake Stevens)!!!!

yea i couldnt take it anymore today. Got away from work and the wife was all happy with her V-day gifts. And with the new lake boat all set up i was itching to try it out, and im glad i did cause i got a few more tweaks that need to happen before the season goes full swing. lots of fishing jumping today which was cool to see.

Glad you are catchin Kokes. my boat is already in the water and I am ready to go, as soon as my knee allows me too I will be going for Kokes too. I will be going for them on American though. I have fished Stevens twice for them and have not decided if I am doing the derby again this year or not. Keep posting because last year seemed slow for Stevens and I know it was slow for American. It will be interesting to see if it was just a bad year or if both lakes will be better this year or just one of them. Good report.
