It's been a bit since i posted are report due to lingering health issues. I recently spent 5 days in Yakima's Memorial hospital with a severe foot infection and high fever, causing me to miss the Quincy Lake's Trout Derby. The 103 + fever has affected my visual clarity, so i go in for inner eye injections this week. Health issues aside, I managed to hit Buena Pond 6 of the I 82's for some quick stocker trout action from the shore. The fish were fat and fiesty and had a fondness for my 2" Jiggy minnow rigged on a 1/32 0z. lead head jig. I gave all my fish to a couple who were struggling to catch thier dinner. I'd like to thank my friend and fellow Gulf War Combat veteran Earl Springer of Prosser for his help tying on my jigs and directing me where to cast. My eyesight is slowly improving, so I'm hopeful to be back making and designing lures like I was before the fever. Another positive Note, My good friend and fishin' buddy Joe Cortez of Sunnyside used my rootbeer/red flake colored custom made 1.5" Jiggy nymphs to put a limit of trout and a big bass on the bank yesterday. Great Job Joe, as I made him up some of my special jigs and he's been scoring some awesome catches on them. See you guys on the water! Jiggy
