3/14/2013 11:58:00 AMIf your going for trout the easiest thing that I know is killing the trout right now is an apex and a dodger. If your going for kokanee like me then it is still very slow and it will take some time until they start biting. I prefer about an 18 inch leader but a friend of mine was using a 6ft leader with his on monday and was trolling faster than me and he got quit a few fish. I always keep an apex in the tackle box for when things slow down. Good luck!

3/14/2013 4:40:00 PMI am still getting a temp of 43-44 but that is close enough to what you are getting....I dont expect the bite to turn on until mid April but obviously thats an educated guess. They dont get active until the water hits 54 or right around there. You will know because once they start biting I will be fishing for them just about every single day and will be posting what it will take to get some fish in the cooler.
