Being an opportunist, I had to stop off and try a little trout Fishing at Buena pond near Zillah in the Yakima County's I 82 ponds. I had just received an inner eye injection in my right eye to relieve my Macualr Edema swelling of the muscles around my optic nerves causing a degree of blindness following a recent high fever. I was relieved, as the injections have done their job and I am back to making lures again! The bite, as I thought it would be, was pretty non existant as I tossed a number of my custom poured trout jigs, but to no avail. I finally just threaded on a 2" crawler tail on a 1/32 oz jig and finally got a bite, a feisty 11" stocker that spazzed out when I put him on the bank. I had another simalar sized trout tap the worm jig but it jumped and spit the hook. This recent cold weather has put a damper on my spiny ray fishing, but i'm confident that it will pick up in the next few weeks. I plan on being in Spokane for the Bighorn Sportsman show on Saturday, March 23rd in the afternoon. I'll be wearing my trademark dark brown Addidas hoody sweatshrt with "Jiggy" emblazoned on the back. I'll also have a selection of my custom jigs with me for you walakers to check out if you like. Another potentially positive development. I may be showcasing my Jigmiester Custom Lure's products on the TV show "Shark Tank" where folks can plug their products to potential investors.
