so a buddy and I hit the lake around noon today ... fished it hard... senko's and dropshots... tried spinners and crankbaits too... jigs and tubes...had a few bites, finally hooked into a good fish... boated, measured it at 20"s , no scale but I'll guess around 3lbs. buddy took a picture and we set it free...

then as we were getting back to fishing my buddy DROPPED his phone overboard... so no picture...

continued fishing until about 530... so not a great day ... but was a good day...

Hmmm, 20" and 3 pounds? Was it really skinny? I am guessing, without seeing your fish, that if it were indeed 20 inches that it would be closer to 5 pounds, 4 easy.

Were there many boats out there fishing for bass? Thanks for the report!

arniejl sounds about right, especially this time of year. Nice fish to start with. Pricey phone, or freebie type? Ouch.

when we got there i counted 7 bass boats on the water... plus a couple of other fishing boats... we have a measuring board but no scale... and it was a healthy fish, not skinny...

That one was 4 pounds even. I never measure them. Never think about it, really. I just weigh 'em.
