Decided to take a day off due to the fact that Wed. was the only positive day weather and wind wise for fishing this week.Tried trolling, fish are still finikey about chasing anything. After 10 or 15 minutes with no strikes on wedding rings with nightcrawlers we anchored up where the sonar showed fish and proceeded to bottom fish with slip sinkers and trout nuggets. Melanie limited out before I even caught a fish! And for those of you that think I must have had a bad scent on my hands, I baited her set-ups! It only took about 45 minutes. Well, then it was my turn, only about 40 minutes to limit. 4 fish over 14" between us, a few more in the 13" to 14". one about 2 lbs., 16" or 17". Upon loading our boat we spoke to a great father-son team fishing from the launch. Well, the dad was fishing from a tree that fell in the water two years ago on the left side of the launch, shakey footing. Well, he hooks a slab there and has to do some fancy rod and foot work to land that sucker, wrapped around tree limbs two or three times but he got it out each time. His son, about 12 or so years old brings him one of those tiny trout nets.We see this and haul our larger net with a 4 ft. handle out of the car where we had loaded up and bring it over. He thinks it's the largest trout he's caught, we were glad to finish our day this way.Bob R
