Went fishin today. Got up bright and early and was on the water at about 6:30. Drove down to the boat launch and checked out the bass derby.(talk about some nice boats) I fished for about 4 hours for bass trying everything. No fish. Not really a big surprise though. The water still needs to warm up quite a bit. So I went into the dock for a hour or two. The I went back out for some trout. I caught several fish. Not very productive but better than what it has been lately. I'm gonna get my two rod permit so th.at I can cover some more water. I caught 1 trout (about 8 inches) using a bobber with a worm and about 5 feet of leader at the south end of the lake. Then I put on a small metal dodger with about 18" of leader too my dick nite that had a green but end. That caught me a couple of fish. I was just trolling out in the middle of the lake with a lot of line behind the boat. It was about 19-23 feet deep and I figured that I was about 10' down. I wasn't watching to closely but I didn't see anyone in the derby catch any fish.
