Fished for an hour Saturday from 11:30-12:30 at the 2nd spillway. used a 1/32 oz yellow/whit crappie jig and brought 4 nice smallies over 15" to the net, missing several others. Had the spot all to my self. Sunday we drove around other Bridges in Moses and talked to a few shore fishers that had some nice walleyes on their stringers to 4 lbs using brown twister jigs. Didn't have big walleye stuff so we went back to the spillway and caught 3 smallies 13/13-1/2/15 and a bonus trout, lost several other bass using the same crappie jig I used yesterday. Lots a fisher people but saw only one other fish caught that was a huge sucker.

Nice fish! I'm fishing that lake in two weeks. Hope the water temp jumps a few degrees.

Was that at the 2nd spillway on the ORV road? Never have caught smallies down there during the summer when I fished those spillways.
