Got onto the lake just before 6pm hoping the wind was going to die down and zipped out to the flats outside of the cove. Figuring the fish were gonna be on top i flat lined both poles. One with a pink splatter dick nite dodger and a Joelsjigs wiggle butt in pink. The other with a Silver double d dodger and a green hoochie spinner. Both baited with crappie nibbles, just because i heard they work. Right out of the gate the wiggle butt hooks into a fish, off right at the boat, i really need a longer net. back out 30 pulls and this time i set it in the downrigger clip to get a hook set. about another half hour goes by and another on-off. then another, then another. then a drive by. Finally heading back in a get into a fish but it was fighting wierd. 5" koke that was bleeding everywere. In the cooler it went. Finally went into the cove and got a couple perch before it got to dark to see what i was doing.

What is going on with these Lake Stevens Kokanee?!?! I was marking fish everywere along with seeing tons of jumpers.Wierd day. I did get to check out John Thomas's new Rot-toon chum pontoon boat! talk about fishing in style!

Saturday I will be back at it, and hoefully catch some keeper sized fish this time!
