After camping at Jameson lake for the weekend, decided to stop by Fish lake on the way back to Seattle on Sunday and see how things looked. Wind wasn't too bad and the temp was a perfect 75 degrees so decided to rent a boat from the Cove Resort for a few hours and see if we could reproduce our excellent results from the day before at Jameson.

Today was a lot more frustrating though and thats why I gave it a 3 instead of a 5. Had consistent action trolling a homemade wedding ring spinner behind a sling blade dodger but unfortunately out of the 14 fish we hooked into in 3 hours we lost 9 of them at the boat. What gives?! Using a double hook setup wedding ring , size 6 matzuo hooks with fluorocarbon leader connected to 12 lb test nanofil as the mainline on a spinning setup 8 foot medium light spinning rod. It was the bigger trout that were getting off at the boat which made it all the more frustrating. Oh well, still a great day on the water all said and done. Brought in 5 more for the smoker to add to the others. They're in the brine as we speak!
