Okay, so this report is a little late(Fished on Sunday the 5th) Anyway....Started fishing later in the day, got to the dock at about 2 PM. Fishing started off kinda slow, and took about 15 minutes to get the first bite of the day, but right after that started hooking fish every couple of minutes or so. I had my limit within an hour or so, releasing 2 smaller fish and keeping 3 bigger fish. Two of them being over 14 inches. One that was 15 and another that was 16 inches. My new personal best for Leland. It also happened to be the only day I forgot the net, so ended up having to bring the fish to the shoreline to land them. Due to not having the net, also lost a lot of fish right at the dock, otherwise it would have only taken about a half hour to limit.
My grandpa also ended up limiting, releasing 3 small fish, and keeping 2 decent ones that swallowed the hook. He also lost several fish at the dock. I will be sure not to forget the net again! So total was 10 fish, releasing 5. Probably another 10 fish lost at the dock, and about 10 more lost, right after being hooked.
All fish were caught on the same set-up. Weighted float and half a worm, about 4 ft under the float this time instead of 3. Seemed to hook larger fish at 4 feet down. Not a lot of people catching fish it seems. Light line really make's a big difference. As well as presenting the worm a certain way. The fish seem to prefer the worm to be straightened on the hook, almost like a jig.
