This report covers 5/4 and 5/5 of last weekend. I fished Moses for the first time with a buddy who knows the lake well. We were targeting small mouth. Hit the launch at 5am Saturday morning and were surprised to see 78 other bass boats in front of Cascade Park. Huge tournament that we hadn't heard about....the fishing was difficult at best with that many people on the water and it didn't help that the wind later on in the day would be between 20-30 mph. I started fishing some of the flats hoping that the few days of warm weather pushed the fish up on theirs beds but we didn't see much of anything. Got a few fish pulling spinnerbaits over the flats but for the most part we found them by drop shotting off docks and rocky structure. 18 hours on the water produced maybe 8 fish. Biggest of the day was 2.75 lbs.

Sunday was basically the same but with a little less wind, warmer temps and only 10 of the 78 boats from the day before. Started seeing beds on the flats at first light but only a few held fish that were easily spooked by an inaccurate cast. Fished until 4pm and only brought 4 fish to the boat.

Windy conditions with alot of boat pressure makes finding the fish difficult...but it still beats a day in the office.
