Went to Lower Goose and caught very few small fish, pulled out and went to Long. There we caught steady but slow, 14-17" crappie, a few smallmouth, a crap... er... carp, 6 bullheads, and a few perch. Hard fishing, and my wife didn't catch anything, but we all enjoyed the new super pontoon that I custom built over the winter. 3 person, with all the bells and whistles, including an insulated vented doggy retreat under the front deck. 24V foot controlled electric, storage, basically all you'd want in a bass boat except speed. Mostly Jiggy lures, but a couple of my own as well.

Would like to see some pics of your pontoon. I built a modified jon/dory the winter before last and could not be more pleased with the way it turned out.

Definitely want to see some pics of your custom pontoon, as well as some descriptions.

Can't argue about 14-17" crappie (wow!), but what is going on with the Goose Lakes (plus nearby lakes like Black)? When I moved away from the Tri-Cities in around 2001, those lakes were productive. Now I hear nothing good at all. What gives?? What is going on with those lakes in the SE corner of the CNWR?
