Fished from 6 - 11 am. caught 3 small bass on perch colored rapalas, and dozens of perch and bluegill using nightcrawlers, maggots, and small bright colored plastic jigs. we were after crappie but never found any. I haven't been to swofford pond in 5 or 6 years, the weeds are everywhere. last time I was here, the water was clean and clear, you could eye your fish and cast right over it, not anymore. we had to stop every few minutes because my electric motor would be so tangled with weeds the prop would stop spinning, I would have to pull it out and clean it off. we ended up leaving the motor up and rowing for the rest of the morning. this is still a good lake to fish, the weeds just add much more cover and make the fish harder to find.
