Tried Wyatt Park for a little while this morning and found a nice school of perch waiting for me. I fished off the dock towards the towards the left hand side in about 10 ft of water or so (it was just deep enough i could barely make out a beer can on the bottom). Fished from 8:30am til 10:30pm and kept right around 20 perch between 6 - 14 inches (only kept the 2 sixers cause they swallow the hook completely). Also caught a 14in rainbow and had 2 nice smallies throw the hook on me today. When i first got there i was looking around the shallows for signs of fish and saw what i thought to me a couple pound smallie in about 5ft of water. So i tied on a 2in crankbait and chucked it over. That fish hammered it, and gave my ultralight rod a run for it's money, but as i got it closer to the dock and was able to see what it was i realized it was the biggest perch i had ever seen (at least a pound & a half). I got a little to excited and tried to pull the fish out of the water too quick (pulling the hook). I had a great time catching some tasty fish!
