Ive been doing pretty well this week, so I went again today after work. Got there and set up two poles exactly like last night. I sit down to have a smoke and my Lamiglas rod is getting pulled into the lake. I jump and grabbed it by the butt and set the hook. After a few cranks, I realized it wasn't a cookie cutter trout. I let the other fisherman know that it might be a triploid and he grabs his net. He successfully nets the fish and my first triploid in years is on the stringer.

The next two cookie cutter trout caught were on the ultra light rod which was fun too. It a good day fishing and I get another light bite. The kind where you see the rod tip dance and stop. I had the little rod in my hand and was waiting to see if the fish dropped the power eggs or if it would come back and grab it again. Sure enough, It comes back and bites it. I set the hook and its a fun battle on the ul rod. This second triploid made sure the rod was bent over. The other fisherman was nice enough to net it for me again. I was hoping for the hat trick with 3 trips, but it wasn't meant to be. I catch another cookie cutter one on the rod that I almost lost and called it a night.
Its been a good week and the first time I limited out three trips in a row here. I usually go to Pine Lake to get easy limits, but fighting the traffic in the afternoon wasn't worth it.
