A Marine Corps buddy of mine that I met in Okinawa while on active duty moved out here from the Bronx, New York. He had been fishing once before but got him broke in yesterday with a limit of rainbow trout. We both got our limit in 3 hours trolling. We were expecting rain or at least a shower or two but the longer we stayed the better the weather got. Lake Erie has been good for me overall. I went out alone last weekend, got my limit, and was home in time for lunch at noon. I found that the hardest fish to get is the first one (even though it only took about 45 minutes). After that they come easy. The last fish is the second hardest to catch LOL! Both last week and yesterday trying to boat the last fish, multiple fish popped off the hook. Anyhow, great time out there and a great way to welcome a New Yorker to the Pacific NW. Now to get him out for the Humpy season in August!!! Woohoo!
