Awesome day on the lake! Unfortunately no fish caught, but wow the weather is so good hard to have a bad time. On to the details...
Hit the water around 2pm this afternoon, launched just north of Idlywood park in the canoe. Paddled out a course straight across the lake to the submerged logs/ pylons. Casted an assortment of spoons, some baited with eggs. Was hoping to catch some small mouth bass in the weeds, nothing. Did see two guys catch a nice sized fish in the weeds, I was too far away to tell what it was.
I tried trolling a wedding ring on the way back across the lake, but no action.
Always open to tips/techniques.
