First time fishin the stevens kokanee derby and it was a blast. Up at 2 am headin to the city launch at 2:45 boats in the water.Tied up on the dock next to steelheadin 360 and Rseas killin time and just talkin fishin. Chompin at the bit 360 heads out around 4 into the darkness. I leave the dock at 4:30 with hopes of catchin 10 big koks. Gear down one at 15 the other at 20 yes im fishin. No sooner that I sit down the 15 rod goes off fish fish. It poped off the clip itself grab the rod the battles on when I hear a bell look over and the 20 rod pops off. Dubbles. Land the first one grab the 2 rod fish is still there land the 2nd fish. Two in the box at 5:00 im thinkin yes piece of cake. Hooked and landed 3 more by 7:00 That's when my luck turned hooked a lost 8 in a row one was a hog. 11:00 I still have 5 in the box fished till 1:00 and picked up 2 more. 7 fish at 9.1# with big one at 1.41# for 10th place. Had a great time. Thanks to Rseas for the tips and Steelheadin 360 for sharing his skills.....

Thanks guys. It was nice meeting you too Idstud I too cant wait to fish the derby again next year. Maybe Mike and Washington lakes will put one on!!!!
