Launched out of Sun Up Bay and headed across the lake between East Point and Powderhorn Bay. The launch and dock system is improved over last year. Water surface temp was about 55° F. It was a little windy when we set out but calmed down to to a nice day by 8:30 AM. I marked fish from 15 down to 75 ft - a bit spotty - they were fairly spread out. Started one downrigger at 30 and the other at 40 ft. Landed one kokanee on the 40 ft side. Changed the dowriggers to 40 and 50 ft, 40 seemed to be where the bighters were today. Boated 7 and lost 2 in about 3 hours. All the bites came in 2 groups in 85 to 95 ft of water - 1.2 MPH was the speed when they hit. I tried several speeds, depths, lures and baits, with and without a flasher or dodger - the one that worked the best was a custom built green and yellow double whammy type tipped with cured shoepeg corn (one on each hook) with a medium Cousin Carl flasher. They were all small at about 10" - but they will smoke up good. Nice day if you don't count almost getting ran over by a large speed boat.
