Hi! Yeah, the dock can get pretty full there. Nice group of guys usually and pretty family friendly. As far as catfish, I caught one that was roughly a foot or so... just standard worm on a hook with a leader long enough to sit through the weeds. I put a little extra smelly shrimp oil on the worm to bring attention to it since catfish are more scent hunters than sight seeing. It's pretty weedy there all around the shore fishing. It seems that the catfish come out more in the evening or sunset-ish. Anything horrifically smelly should catch their attention. I'll be trying crawdad bait next time I go. That should do the trick... I hope! ;)

I've only caught one catfish, prepared it and ate it that night and it was VERY good!!! I'm hooked!

I've been trying to catch a channel cat and have been catching a lot of brown bullhead cats using chicken liver or worms or shrimp dipped in scent.
All seem to work equally well for 9 to 12 inch brown cats, but so far no luck with the channel cats.
I start fishing at dusk and fish into the night. I don't know if that's possible where you are fishing, but it is definitely the best time to fish for them.
