We hit the lake about 10am. Very few boats on the lake today. Caught my first trout straight out from the boat launch on the west side of the lake. Biggest one of the day - about 14". Kept jumping up out of the water as I brought him in. I eventually caught my limit and out-fished my father for the first time in several outings. I had four in before he caught his first fish of the day. We had a lot of hits, but not too many to the boat after the first 3. Had to work at it to get more - bite went off, then seemed to pick up a bit around noon or so again - mostly trolling along the west side of the lake. Somehow managed to catch a Bluegill as well. I kept it to show it to my kids mostly. In all, we took home 9 trout and the Bluegill. The weather today was cloudy with light rain most of the time we were out. A little breezy at times, but for the most part calm.
We used several colors of woolley buggers - which seemed to be the only thing the fish were biting on today. Tried flatfish, wedding rings etc as well, but none successful except for the buggers. We headed home about 1:30pm

The blue gill looks like a pumpkin seed and a very large one.

Not a bluegill and killing fish just to show people isnt cool. Take a picture and let it go. Unless of course you ate it but im just going off what you said.

Thanks for the correction on it being a sunfish & not a bluegill. I was certainly surprised to pull him in instead of the trout I was trolling for!
I'm Sorry. My comment about keeping the sunfish was misleading when I said I kept it just to show my kids. I also plan to eat it tonight. I do not waste fish that I keep.
