After several unsuccessful river trips trying to hook into my first fish in a river the last month I took a break, slept in and took the kids out to Lake Erie for some relaxing fun. We got to the lake at about 9:30 and my oldest Daughter (10 yrs old) had a fish in the boat by 9:45. Nice 16 inch rainbow. Trolling two rods (one for her, and one for my youngest daughter of 7 yrs) with olive green wolley buggers. The wolley buggers were slightly different and the fish would only hit one. My oldest continued to slay fish after fish. Well, she got three and I said "how about you two switch rods and see what happens?" Low and behold, my youngest gets one! Finally! She was getting a little bummed. Changed the fly on the other rod, had them switch again to their original poles because the younger daughter is a lefty. My oldest ended up getting her limit and the youngest ended up with the one. After about 3 hours we called it a day.
