The three of us arrived at the lake around 9:30am. We noticed four or five guys anchored up at the east end near the outlet. Figuring their presence had to be an indicator, we trolled red willies down there without a bite. On arrival, we broke out our floating lines and chironomids and immediately began hooking up on both red and black. After awhile, I got bored and returned to my full-sink and a black yarn leech. I no more than paddled a few feet when I had a heavy take. After a rather lengthy battle (while working my way towards my camera-toting buddy), I was able to net the 22" brown. That fish was really the highlight of my day. I trolled back to the launch area close in to shore and caught eight 'bows, all 18-20" and fat. The wind and temp finally got the best of us around 4pm. We'll definitely be going back and hitting Lenice next time. By the way... If you're one of these persons who pack their food and drink in, how about giving the landscape a break and packing out your trash!! C'mon folks! This area is too beautiful to be crapping it up with cans, plastic bottles, and other garbage!! Thanks...
