I did the short but extreme backdoor trail to Laura and Lillian lakes yesterday and tried some fishing. The lake appears to be barren. I didn't see any fish feeding all though there were insects on the water, and I didn't get a single bite though I brought my raft and tried fishing the entire lake. I tried top, middle, deep, nearshore and in the middle and didn't get a single bite or even glimpse of a fish.

I tried Laura for a few minutes but not enough to tell if there's any fish there or not.

Is there someone we can ask to stock this lake? It's decent sized and deep and should be able to support a healthy population of fish IMO.

That's a high lake. Most months out of the year it's too cold to have a growing season, so the fish would be small and stunted. I'm sure at some point somebody planted it, but on high lakes like that having a self maintaining population can be difficult. It would be cool though.

The Trailblazers planted some fry in Laura in 2012. Thanks for the report.

Lillian has Rainbows but I've never had success there before August.
