After reading the latest report I decided to try out Angle instead of the usual easy limit Meridian! Well... first off I forgot my battery at 7:30am and trekked back home so i could get my depth readings. Hit the water about 8:20 and fished till just after 10am with NO bites! dick nite watermelon dodger, smiley blades and pink squid tipped with worn, anise soaked shoepeg and ...gulp maggots... switched it all up and nothing. Weather was overcast with fog and just wasn't feeling it.

So I went home and grabbed the wife and two kiddos and headed to Dash Pt. tossed the lil 10fter off the rack and soaked the crab pots for a few hours... 4 dungies and 1 red rock later everyone was tired and sun burnt... they arn't nearly as dedicated as myself!

Either way it was a good day and I see Meridian in my future again.... stay away from the middle because that's where i catch all mine! LOL

Tight Lines!

There are some big trout around the cabin area. My nephew caught a few yesterday. I'm tryin to get some pics from him. One was 23" 5lbs and pink meat he claims(I want a pic to verify). He lives just above that spot and usually catches nice ones there on mellow and maggot. I fish my buddies dock just east of there (with the big green yard) and catch 2-3lbers every time.

I fish this lake quite frequently. From my experience, it is very hit or miss... especially this late in the season for kokanee. Might have something to do with the lake not being very deep? Anyways, where is the cabin spot? I don't recall seeing any "cabins" on the lake. Also, Rippasher.. what side of the lake are you fishing for trout? The only kokanee and trout I have caught here are pretty much where this guy has marked his hot spots along the north edge in 40-45 feet of water (downrigging at all different depths). You can usually catch a decent amount of perch or bass if the kokanee/trout fishing isn't hot.
