Decided to take my old man up to Baker Lake thinking we would be able to repeat last Thursdays success. Boy was I wrong. We got to Swift Creek cg at 5am and had our lines out by 5:30. Used the same rigs as last time out, 4 oz lead, chrome dodger, 18" leader to a pair of 1/0 red hooks with a smile blade and sand shrimp. We trolled all along the hwy side of the Swift Creek multiple times 20-40 pulls out in about 165' of water with no action at all. Last week we were marking many fish in the 15-30' depth range. Today the fish finder didn't mark hardly any fish at all. We called it around 1. We probably saw a total of about 5 or 6 fish caught the whole time we were there. That's pretty bad considering how many boats were out there. Oh well, got to enjoy the sun and scenery with the old man. We did get to watch a helicopter put out a fire around the Shannon Creek Campground and also watched the PSE fish truck dump a load of sockeye at the boat launch which was very cool to see. I did get a video of it and might try to upload to youtube. Good luck out there.

Thanks. That rumor may be true. The numbers transferred to the lake are only about 1/2 of the total fish trapped. Ive been watching the numbers on the wdfw site and the whole week i didn't see much change from last week on the numbers transferred. I uploaded the fish truck video. http://youtu.be/8NUWb8JsQgw There's another video in there too that shows the fish surfacing after the truck leaves. Good luck up there.
